This is a two part lesson: Part 1: Students will explore wind-up toys and try to explain the mechanism of the toy's motion, learning about the concepts of stored and movement energy and thetransfer from one to the other. Part 2: Students engage in an investigation to observe, measure, compare, and predict the motion of rubberband-propelled car.
