The Daly Ralston Resource Center is a lending library of materials to support hands-on health and science teaching. The Resource Center is open to all SFUSD and SF charter school teachers and anyone at UCSF doing community outreach work. Our collection of thousands of items includes:
Monday & Wednesday 2:30-5:30 PM
Tuesday & Thursday 3-6 PM
All other times by appointment via sep.rc@ucsf.edu
The Resource Center is closed on all UCSF and SFUSD holidays and breaks.
The Daly Ralston Resource Center was named in 2001 in memory of UCSF professor Diane Daly Ralston — dedicated teacher, skilled researcher, and beloved friend to SEP. Diane was very supportive of SEP’s work and helped us establish our extensive collection of human organ specimens. We are grateful to Diane and others at UCSF for supporting community access to these incredible learning tools.
Who can borrow materials:
Access to the Resource Center is free and open to all SFUSD and SF charter school teachers and UCSF students, staff and faculty, regardless of whether they are participants in other SEP programs.
Accessing the Building:
To access the Resource Center at 654 Minnesota, use the main entrance on Minnesota. Locate the directory and press the SEP Resource Center button. We will buzz you in.
Head down the long hallway on the first floor, along the right side of the staircase and look for the sign on the left side of the Hallway that says UCSF Science and Health Education Partnership – Resource Center. Knock and a staff member will open the door and greet you.
How it works:
Borrow materials! For Free! The loan period for materials is normally one week (two weeks for curriculum materials). During peak periods of use (February through April), loan periods may be shorter.

Parking
There is free 1 hour parking around our building on Minnesota Street and 19th Street and a little further away on Tennessee St.
Walking from Mission Bay campus
From 4th and Campus Way walk on 4th Street south across 16th Street through the courtyard of the UCSF Medical Center, then cross Mariposa Street. 4th St turns into Minnesota Street. 654 Minnesota is on your right, just before Esprit Park. The walk takes about 10 minutes, see map.
Public Transit

All of SEP’s programs are offered free-of-charge. To do this work, SEP must annually raise nearly $2 million. Every donation brings us closer to that goal and helps to make this important work possible.
